MindTitan CEO Kristjan Jansons opened Dubai Expo’s Portal with former Estonian President Kersti Kaljulaid

From January 7-15, MindTitan CEO Kristjan Jansons and Head of Business Development Harry Liimal have been joining the official delegation of the Estonian Association of Information Technology and Telecommunications (ITL Estonia) to the UAE.

In celebration of the power of technology and innovation, Kristjan Jansons opened Dubai Expo’s Portal alongside Kersti Kaljulaid (former President of Estonia and Global Advocate of the United Nations), and a great team of innovative companies leaders, who are creating ‘The Digital Republic’ of Estonia nowadays.

Then, at the meeting with Etisalat (UAE’s biggest telco) high-level representatives with the Estonian delegation, the MindTitan team introduced AI solutions for telecom sector,  which include various artificial intelligence services, such as Self-Learning Systems, Natural Language Processing, Speech Recognition, etc.

Another bright event of the trip was the seminar and networking organized by Tallinn and Tartu named “Creating Cities of the Future with the Help of Tech-Innovation”, where Mindtitan introduced solutions for smart cities, such as Prediction in road traffic accidents.

AI in the public sector can help improve decision-making, boost communication and engagement with residents. Furthermore, it can increase the efficiency and user-friendliness of services.

Other AI services which can improve everyday life are Automated communication with citizens, Tax fraud reduction, Personalized learning path in education, Emergency response and assistance, Tracking illegal ads in social media.

 

Minister of Entrepreneurship and Information Technology Andres Sutt with a selected business delegation, including Mindtitan, had meetings with the UAE’s highest government institutions and visited the Expo 2020 Dubai. Visiting Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

It was interesting to see how UAE invests in rapid technological development, and it was gratifying to see that one of the keys to success is cooperation with countries that have something new to offer them.

Mindtitan CEO and Head of Business Development participated in Business Forum hosted by Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park (SRTIP) and co-organized with ITL/Estonian ICT Cluster. Together with Estonian ​​former president H.E. Kersti Kaljulaid, H.E. Hussein Al Mahmoudi, the Executive Director of SRTIP, and other IT companies representatives, they took part in the discussion about the future collaboration. The parties signed a memorandum of understanding—an agreement to enhance the collaboration in the innovations field.

The trip to Dubai EXPO showed that UAE and the whole GCC region are developing fast and this includes adopting AI solutions. There are numerous initiatives where MindTitan’s and Estonian experience more broadly can help to speed up this innovation. 

Estonia has had the advantage of being digital-first for decades which has enabled us to gather data, build AI solutions with this data, and now we are ready to export our experience elsewhere.

HEAD OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

Harry has years of experience working in business development, strategy, and digitalization for some of the world’s largest companies. He is a people person, who enjoys fast-paced environments and multiple responsibilities. He is especially curious about transformation and disruptive technology.

Harry holds a Master’s degree in Law from the Tartu University and is acquiring an MBA at the Estonian Business School. He has also studied innovation management in Japan at the Nagoya University of Commerce and Business.
